When my son was born, we gave him a Gund puppy dog to snuggle with. We fast realized we needed to get another one in order to keep up with washing demands! His dogs are called ‘Buppy’ and ‘Guppy’. He is 7-years-old now, and they still make an appearance each night at bedtime.
When my daughter arrived 2 years later, it was my son who insisted that she have her own puppies. She got 2 pink puppies, named ‘Stinky’ and ‘Pinky’ (interchangeable based on varied levels of dirtiness).
Almost 5 years on and she is still attached to those dogs. Every morning they come downstairs and have breakfast with her, then wait patiently on her bed for her to return from school.
It has always been about Pinky.
